Pre-Owned OMEGA Speedmaster Watches
As the chronograph that went to the moon, the Speedmaster is arguably OMEGA’s most famous watch. And since we have plenty of them for sale at Gray & Sons, it was tough to pick just two.
The first is the classic Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional Chronograph 42mm (ref. 3570.50.00). It has everything you want from an OMEGA Speedmaster. Stainless steel construction, black tachymeter bezel, and black dial. What’s more, its 42mm case and trio of pushers come together to make this one sporty watch to wear. Emphasizing the Speedmaster Moonwatch’s sportiness are the three registers on the dial.
Flip the watch around and you’ll see the caseback decorated with the famous seahorse emblem, along with text explaining the watch’s history with space exploration. Even cooler is the manual mechanical movement within, the Caliber Omega 1861, which was worn on the moon.
Next up we have a different kind of Speedmaster — the limited-edition Speedmaster Reduced Michael Schumacher (ref.3517.30.00). Although trips to the moon made the Speedmaster globally famous, the origin of the collection was actually inspired by motor racing.
The stainless steel case of the OMEGA Speedmaster Reduced ref. 3517.30.00 is 39mm and boasts a steel bezel with the tachymetric scale. The design of the dial is super interesting with a checkerboard background, RACING label, red periphery, and orange accents. Turn the watch around and this time we see Michael Schumacher’s signature along with its unique number: #2257 out of only 4,000 pieces.
A fantastic pair of pre-owned OMEGA watches, these two examples of Speedmaster chronographs perfectly illustrate the variety of the collection.
Pre-Owned OMEGA Seamaster Watches
From land we now travel to the sea with a look at some pre-owned OMEGA watches from the Seamaster line. As its name suggests, OMEGA Seamaster watches are made to withstand water exposure. From serious diving watches to water resistant dress watches, the Seamaster collection is a varied one.
Here we have two pre-owned Seamaster watches. The first one is an automatic Seamaster Diver Co-Axial GMT (ref. 2535.80.00) with a 41mm stainless steel case, blue unidirectional rotating bezel, and blue dial with a wave pattern. In terms of functionality, this Seamaster Co-Axial offers time and date, in addition to a second time zone indicated by the red 24-hour hand. Furthermore, as a diving watch, this OMEGA Seamaster boasts water resistance up to 1,000 feet, thanks to its Helium Escape Valve. Practicality housed in an awesome design, the Seamaster Diver GMT ref. 2535.80.00 is a fantastic luxury sports watch to have on hand.
The other pre-owned OMEGA diver’s watch we have here is the Seamaster Planet Ocean Big Size (ref. 2200.50.00), also in stainless steel. As its name suggests, this Seamaster Planet Ocean sports a large case at 45.5mm. It also has an HEV and water resistance up to 2,000 feet. Additionally, there’s the date window at 3 o’clock. The combination of the black unidirectional rotating bezel, black dial, vintage numeral font, and broad arrow hands adds a retro vibe to a very classic diver’s watch aesthetic.
Whether this duo of pre-owned OMEGA watches ever actually gets to dive is irrelevant — they look just as great paired with a business suit as they do with a diving suit.
Pre-Owned OMEGA Constellation Watches
The OMEGA Constellation line is the brand’s offering of dress watches. The watches are distinguished by their integrated bracelets, prominent bezels, and four claws or “griffes” on the case sides.
From its 38mm steel case to its matching steel bracelet to its silver dial, the OMEGA Constellation Co-Axial (ref. 123.10.38.21.02.001) has a sleek monochromatic look. This particular Constellation is, in fact, a part of OMEGA’s current catalog. The Roman numerals on the bezel is a great touch too. Powering the time and date functions of this pre-owned OMEGA Constellation is the OMEGA Co-Axial Caliber 8500 with 60 hours of power reserve. This automatic movement can be admired via the transparent caseback.
On the other hand, the Constellation Quartz (ref. 123.20.35.60.08.001) dates back to the 1990s. Its 35mm size is perfect for either a woman’s wrist or for men who appreciate a more restrained watch size. This Constellation is a two-tone model, mixing both stainless steel and 18k yellow gold. On the gold bezel, we see black Roman numerals, while the gold dial houses the center hands and date window at 3 o’clock.
These two pre-owned OMEGA watches demonstrate different sides of the iconic Constellation watch.
From sporty chronographs to robust diver’s watches to dressier everyday timepieces, pre-owned OMEGA watches offer it all. What do you think of the six OMEGA watches we picked? What is your favorite OMEGA watch at the moment?
