Green Rolex Watches for Saint Patrick’s Day (Or Any Day)
Saint Patrick’s Day is fast approaching, which means that we’ll be happily rocking our green Rolex watches this weekend! In addition to special occasions, however, you can wear green Rolex watches pretty much any time of the year. A signature color of the brand, the use of green on a Rolex is most definitely eye-catching. Here are some of our favorite green Rolex watches at the moment.
Rolex Submariner 116610LV
Also known as the “Hulk” thanks to its vibrant green shade, the stainless steel Submariner ref. 116610LV is one luxury sports watch not to miss. Currently part of Rolex’s catalog, the Submariner ref. 116610LV sports the 40mm “super case,” which has a broader build than its predecessors. There’s also the unmistakable sunburst green dial housing the lume plots, Mercedes-style hands, and date window at 3 o’clock.
Plus, there’s also the green Cerachrom ceramic unidirectional bezel resistant to both fading and scratching. As one of Rolex’s famous dive watch, the Submariner ref. 116610LV comes with a steel Oyster bracelet outfitted with the Glidelock system to allow for wearers to adjust the bracelet length to fit over a diving suit.
If it’s a bold green Rolex watch you’re after, then the Submariner Hulk is unbeatable.
Rolex Submariner 16610LV
The predecessor to the Hulk, the Submariner ref. 16610LV is the older and more restrained version of the green Rolex Submariner. The Submariner ref. 16610LV made its debut in 2003 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Submariner watch. Also carrying a green-themed nickname, the anniversary Submariner ref. 16610LV goes by “Kermit” in watch collecting circles.
The stainless steel Submariner ref. 16610LV also has a 40mm Oyster case but it is not as bulky as the newer green Sub. While the aluminum bezel is green, the dial of the Kermit Submariner is, in fact, black–which is a great contrast in colors.
An absolute classic in Rolex’s archives, the green anniversary Rolex Submariner is one to have.
Rolex GMT-Master II 116718
Moving away from Rolex dive watches, we now turn our attention to Rolex’s famous pilot watch–the GMT-Master II. And in keeping with our green Rolex watches theme, it’s got to be the yellow gold GMT-Master II ref. 116718 with a green dial.
Also an anniversary Rolex model, the green dial GMT-Master II ref. 116718 launched in 2005 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the GMT-Master pilot watch. As a matter of fact, the ref. 116718 debuted for many of the new features on Rolex’s latest sports watches including the use of ceramic on the dial, the broader cases, and heavier bracelets.
The yellow gold 40mm Oyster case, yellow gold Oyster bracelet, black Cerachrom ceramic bezel, and green dial with yellow gold hands and white luminescent hour markers come together for an unforgettable way to wear a green Rolex watch.
Rolex Datejust II 116333
Along with sports watches, Rolex also offers dress watches with a touch of emerald too. Case in point is the gorgeous Datejust II ref. 116333 with green-outlined black Roman numerals on the slate dial.
The Datejust II is the largest version of Rolex’s signature Datejust timepiece, with a bulkier case that measures 41mm. Despite the fact that the Datejust II is no longer in production having been replaced by the Datejust 41 collection, it still remains a very popular option in the secondary market.
Since this is a two-tone Rolesor version of the Datejust II, there’s the characteristic combination of stainless steel and yellow gold. From the gold fluted bezel to the distinct dial to the larger case, the Datejust II ref. 116333 is an elegant, yet bold luxury dress watch that offers just a touch of green.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual
Finally, but certainly not least, we have to talk about green Rolex watches for women! Take this beautiful ladies’ vintage yellow gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual. While there are no green details on the chic 26mm case or on the champagne time-only dial, we’ve paired it with a green leather strap for some serious style.
Since this Oyster Perpetual includes lug holes on the case, it’s easy to change it from a green Rolex watch to any other color you wish by simply switching out the strap. A true belle of the ball.
Whether it’s for St. Paddy’s Day or any other day of the year, a green Rolex watch is a fantastic addition to any watch collection. As green is the color that symbolizes money, life, and Rolex, this is one type of lucky charm we’d be happy to wear any day!
