vintage Rolex open-face pocket watch in stainless steel featuring a glossy black military-style dial with luminous Arabic numerals, an outer railroad minute track, luminous lollipop hour hand, and subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock. Housed in a polished stainless steel case, this exceptional timepiece is powered by the high-grade Rolex caliber 622 manual-winding movement with 17 ruby jewels, with a sapphire case back (added outside of Rolex factory) adjusted to six positions. The movement features an Elinvar balance and hairspring with a Breguet overcoil, engineered to provide enhanced temperature resistance, positional accuracy, and precision timekeeping. Circa 1940s.
